Volunteer Opportunities
Help Us Plan
Join the Board of Visitors of the IOG. This board brings together leaders from the public and private sectors to advance research into aging issues and across the lifespan. The BOV meets quarterly to discuss current issues and help with fundraising and awareness.
The Elder Advisors to Research (EAR) is an innovative, active group of seniors that plan the Art of Aging Successfully conference each spring. For more information contact Donna MacDonald at (313) 664-2605 or donnamacdonald@wayne.edu.
The Community Advisory Board is a 10-person committee that reviews research projects offered to our Participant Resource Pool volunteers prior to approval. The Community Advisory Board ensures the safety of the participants and the quality and integrity of the research. For more information contact Vanessa Rorai at (313) 664-2604 or vrorai@wayne.edu.
Participate in Research
Join the HBEC Participant Resource Pool of people willing to participate in research projects in the field of aging. The Resource Pool currently recruits African American men and women aged 55 and older willing to be considered for participation in university approved, noninvasive research. For more information contact Vanessa Rorai at (313) 664-2604 or vrorai@wayne.edu.
